Sarath Kumar, who reached a milestone by acting in his 100th film, is seemingly at the center of a controversy now.
A small time political party leader has threatened to sue the actor in the court stating that the story and screenplay of Sarath's 100th film (Thalaimagan) was a lift from a short story penned by another person.
When contacted, a visibly agitated Sarath Kumar, dismissed the allegations as baseless and false.
When no one else apart from the cast and crew know about the storyline of Thalaimagan, jumping into protest over it is ridiculous, Sarath Kumar said.
ÂI am ready to face any challenge and would seek necessary compensation if their claim is proved false, he added.
A good riposte indeed.
